'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is at the moment two years through the four-year deal he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the first major honor of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he previously was, and would seriously think about lengthening his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's top focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract discussions could start in the coming future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring form continues to amaze
