During a visit to a cathedral in Staffordshire on Monday, the King was confronted by a man who asked him about his brother's relationship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The man inquired how long the monarch had been known about his brother's relationship with Epstein, and also raised doubts about whether he had instructed the authorities to "cover up" for Prince Andrew.

Amid the heckling, there were throngs of well-wishers and applause for the King, who was in the region for an ceremony.

The Duke of York's links with Epstein have been under renewed focus in the past few weeks. The royal, who relinquished his royal duties earlier this month, has categorically denied any misconduct.

"For how long have you known about Prince Andrew and Epstein? Did you request the authorities to conceal for Andrew?"

The monarch ignored the questions but carried on meeting fans, some of whom shouted "God Save The King". One fan can be overheard requesting him for a embrace.

Another woman outside the venue was also heard telling the heckler to "leave" and to "be quiet".

Controversy Revived by Memoir

The scandal over Prince Andrew's connections to Epstein has been reignited by sexual abuse claims detailed in Ms. Giuffre's recently released memoir.

In the publication, Ms Giuffre claims she had sex with the royal on three separate occasions, including one instance with Jeffrey Epstein and "several other minors"

Prince Andrew, who reached a out-of-court agreement with Ms Giuffre in 2022, has repeatedly denied any misconduct. In a previous interview, he told a news program he did not recall meeting her "at all", and that they "never had any sort of sexual contact."

Fresh Questions Over Lifestyle and Living Arrangements

But recently, fresh questions have been raised about how he is able to fund his way of life despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The revelation that he has only ever paid a nominal fee on his Windsor mansion has intensified the scrutiny over his living arrangements - even though he made significant contributions up front, including for improvements.

The Liberal Democrats said he should be called in before MPs to give evidence about his lease of his residence.

But last Thursday, the authorities refused to give parliamentarians time to debate the royal's titles or his home, despite growing pressure for investigation.

The royal household has not issued a statement on whether Prince Andrew might move out of his current residence - or where he might go.
