Throughout a commanding display, the English national team clinched a further win against Albania, with multiple players turning in standout displays on the pitch.
First-choice Eleven
The goalkeeper Was rarely tested to make during the opening 45 until forced to intervene by an opponent's curling effort. One well-timed sliding challenge against Qazim Laci showed excellent anticipation. 6/10
The debutant Challenged by the opposition's main danger through their forward. Operated through the middle initially but moved out wide after a teammate came on. Seven
John Stones Pushed forward when in possession, as he has done previously. At times seemed hesitant when carrying play with the experiment abandoned at half-time. 6
The tall defender A nuisance at set pieces, as always, perhaps is another option to his teammate in the backline rather than paired with him. A loose pass later in the match almost led to the first goal for Albania. 6
The young full-back Another composed showing by the youngster following his debut against another side. Saka was unable to take the most of a gorgeous backheel over the opposing backline. His position is firmly his already. Seven
The newcomer His maiden beginning for his country. A bit loose when playing out but his dangerous set-pieces posed a danger. A handy game manager available to the manager to call upon versus defensive opponents. Booked for a poorly timed challenge. 6/10
Declan Rice Crosses from corners and free kicks created chances. Enjoyed room to roam down the left flank but was in an offside position when the ball arrived with a chance to score. Granted a merited substitution after an hour. Six
Jude Bellingham Functioned in a forward role out wide and did plenty of defensive duties. Displayed flashes of quality but mishit an effort over. Replaced late on for a teammate, a fellow player, after receiving a caution. 7/10
The winger Had the team's clearest opportunity before halftime, his strike well saved by the Albanian keeper. As a teammate hanging back, he was forced to provide width on the right but his crosses from wide areas varied in quality. Taken off late in the match. 6/10
The captain The decisive figure with his seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes in an England shirt. The opener a trademark close-range tap-in while the second a superb header after peeling away from his marker. Now 32, he continues to improve with the national team are strong contenders in future competitions with him leading the line. 8
The attacker Had difficulty to get into the game from the left. Had a good opening when set up by Bellingham yet the keeper kept it out. His replacement produced a bigger influence in his place. 5/10
